A small practice, built to stay small enough to know the accounts.

Plumbix was founded in 2016 in New York. We manage advertising programmes for enterprise advertisers and provide buying capacity to agencies who own their client relationships.

Our story

We started because good campaigns kept failing for boring reasons.

Broken conversion tracking. Naming conventions nobody could read. Optimisations made on Friday that nobody could explain on Monday. The strategy was rarely the problem.

Plumbix was founded in 2016 to run the operational layer properly - the part where campaigns are built to a standard, measured before spend, managed on a cadence and reported honestly. That is still the whole proposition. We have grown slowly and deliberately since, because familiarity with an account is the thing clients actually pay for, and it does not survive rapid scaling.

Today the practice operates programmes across nineteen markets on client-owned platform accounts, and provides white-labelled delivery capacity to a small number of agency partners.

Mission

To run advertising programmes with enough operational discipline that the results - good or bad - can be trusted and explained.

Vision

A market where advertisers judge agencies on the quality of their reasoning and the clarity of their reporting, rather than on the confidence of their promises.

Values

Six commitments we are willing to be held to.

These are operating rules rather than aspirations. Where we fall short of them, we would rather hear about it.

Say the difficult thing early

If a plan will not work, the useful moment to say so is before the budget is committed. We would rather lose a brief than deliver something we do not believe in.

Show the reasoning

Every optimisation is logged with a date and a rationale. Clients should be able to reconstruct why their account looks the way it does.

No borrowed credit

We report what the programme did, including the parts that fell short. Selective reporting is a short-term strategy.

Protect the client's ownership

Accounts, data and audiences belong to the client. Nothing about our engagement model should make leaving difficult.

Operate on a cadence

Consistent daily, weekly and monthly rhythms produce better results than bursts of attention around reporting deadlines.

Keep the team small enough to know the accounts

We grow slowly and deliberately, because familiarity with an account is the thing clients actually pay for.

Why clients choose Plumbix

Four reasons that come up in almost every renewal conversation.

  • The reporting is readableWritten interpretation sits alongside the numbers, so readouts can be forwarded to a board without translation.
  • Nothing happens off the recordEvery account change is logged with a reason, so decisions can be reviewed months later.
  • We say when something will not workIncluding when the honest answer is that you do not need us for this piece of work.
  • Leaving is not designed to be painfulAccounts stay yours and handover is documented. We would rather earn the next term than trap it.
